Gas safety checks have been required by landlords, employers and self-employed persons since 1998, in accordance with the The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
Gas, when burned improperly, produces excess carbon monoxide and can kill within hours. One of the things that makes carbon monoxide so dangerous is that it has neither a smell or a taste. This, combined with the fact that carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms are easily confused with just being tired, makes carbon monoxide deadly.
By having regular Gas Safety Certificates conducted in Goring, you are reducing the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and other dangers, like flammable gas incidents, in your area.
